The original game launch in 1998 for platfom Sega Saturn with genre strategy-role-playing game. After a decade, Shining Force is finally back in the turn based strategy game with new brand on the platform Nintendo DS, Shining Force Feather.
Unlike most strategy RPGs games, movement is not grid-based at all -- you will simply move freely around the battlefield. You can attack one on one via a regular melee attack or special skills, but the main draw is teaming up with your comrades to perform co-op strikes, which are divided into tag team-style beatdowns and rush-style attacks where your party takes turns enemies. Damage will depends on timed button presses, which adds a minor action element.
Tactical RPG fans have also come to expect quick with addictive combat, which Feather might not deliver. So, this game great for DS owner strategy RPG fans. But, the bad news are Sega not yet confirm release date for North America.
